It is the first human tissue and organ bank in China, dedicated to solving the shortage of tissue and organ transplantation sources in China. The main functions and responsibilities of the center are: tissue and organ preservation, tissue and organ reconstruction, strategic reserve of human tissue and organ resources, protection of human genetic resources, and promotion of clinical practice and basic research of tissue and organ transplantation such as cells, tissues, organs and human remains.
The construction standard of the center is in accordance with Chinese GMP and American AATC standards, with an area of more than 2000 square meters and an investment of 50 million yuan. It has five major areas, including core operation area, quality control area, storage area, r&d area and office area.
